Coming out of a Kickstarter campaign that earned more than 10 times their goal, Rockwell’s 6S adjustable safety razor is one of wet shaving's great modern developments. Made from stainless steel, the razor itself is distinguished and well-built tool.
The real genius of the Rockwell design comes from the adjustable closeness. Each razor includes three plates, all of which can be flipped. The result is six different levels of adjustability. These range from size 1, which has a 0.38 mm gap and is perfect for men with fine hair and sensitive skin, to the size 6. The 1.12 mm gap makes it ideal for men with rugged skin, longer stubble, or coarse beards.
Rockwell razor has been featured in everything from InStyle to Playboy Magazine for its innovation and ease of use.

This is an excellent razor with good heft, good finish, good blade alignment, and a great no slip grip. I'm used to a slightly longer handle but am getting to like this one a lot. I could get away with using only the #4 plate, but for backstroking the upper lip I feel safer with the #3.
I've tried about a dozen different razors both vintage and modern and this one has become my goto razor, I highly recommend it. Well done Rockwell!
This is a well built razor that performs well. With six levels of aggression, most men should be able to find one that works. My experience has been smooth, comfortable shaves. This razor is well built and the matte finish is very nice. It’s well balanced and the knurling is excellent. I purchased the stand as well and it looks awesome on the bathroom counter.
The Rockwell 6S has a utilitarian look but the bbs shaves, more than make up for its looks. It's very balanced and has a nice weight to it which requires zero pressure to the face. Somehow the way it was designed and molded it never leaves you with weepers or nicks. I found the plate number that suits my face and the rest of the plates will be staying in the box. I think the first year DE shaver to the 50 year veteran shaver will appreciate this razor. The 6S will be staying my rotation for unseen Future.
I started shaving with a safety razor about five years ago and have now used a few different brands including two well respected German brands. I have switched to using this as my daily use razor and my others are now my travel/backup. After trying only two different settings, I have already found the perfect balance of gentle and aggressive for my skin. The razor feels substantial in your hand, and the weight prevents the tendency to want to push the razor into your skin. The handle is long enough for average sized (Men's L/XL gloves) hands, and has enough texture to be easily gripped if your hand is has lather on it. My only regret with the razor is that I didn't buy one sooner when I first saw them.
