The only good thing I can say about this product is I has a fabulous smell. Unfortunately there's nothing else good about this product. Makes your hair feel dirty, sticky and greasy. I would not recommend.
This is one of the best pomades I have tried. You only have to use a little and the hold is excellent, not to mention the smell is great. Definitely buying again.
Excellent high-quality product.
I'm a Barber. I put A LOT of different pomades in people's hair. I was looking to pick up a tub of something different to try out, and stumbled across the old' Trumper here. My other only experience with Geo F. Trumper was a sample of cologne I received with a previous order; I was a fan. That being said, I'm not impressed with the value of this product. First off the $33 plus tax for under 3.5 OZ makes this the most expensive pomade I've ever heard of. Price aside, let's get into packaging. Packaging is really where this product blows it. A cheap white plastic jar with two crooked stickers, lame. Although the label themselves are nicely designed the fact that there were crooked makes it look extremely armature. After looking the tub over I cracked it open. The pomade itself looks nice, it has a cool blue color to it. Then I stuck my nose in it. So basically this stuff smell like Turkish Delight. A strong scent of an old lady, flowery perfume punched me in the nose. Not great. So I slapped some in my buddies hair. The feel of the pomade in the hands is great. It's soft, smooth, and very slick. I would classify this pomade as a light-medium hold, but it still managed to slick up my buddies very thick hair. Technically, I enjoy the pomade's application and hold. The stuff just missed the mark on packaging, and value. The scent is personal preference, so I'm not so disappointed by that, although I wish it smelled like Eau de Portugal.
Top of the line, no question about it: easy to use, holds well (and all day), and smells great: highly recommended. I disagree with Tyler's review in that I actually find it quite easy to wash off my hands (in one go).
