Im not 100% sure what Eucris is, but i love the smell. It is slightly musky with floral hints and a fresh finish. Its a hard shaving soap but lathers nicely. Will definitely need a nice aftershave moisturizer if you are the sensitive skin type.
I've had this soap on my shelf next to a lineup of others that simply haven't stood up to the comparison. I inevitably pass the others along and this one stays on the shelf. I alternate with another soap but keep coming back to this one. Its lather is simple, persistent and rich. The fragrance is interesting, exotic and manly without being overpowering.
The Eucris shaving soap was one of the products I was really looking forward to. Scent is a large part of why many of us choose a certain product over something else and although I really like the fragrance behind this shaving soap, it is unfortunately the only trait I do like. I don't know what it is that makes this soap different from other triple-milled shaving soaps because I don't have these issues with any of the other brands I've used, but Eucris has been a lesson in futility. I have tried to use this soap on a number of occasions now and no matter what I try I cannot come up with a usable lather at all. More water, less water, badger brush or boar bristles, a dry puck of soap or one that's been soaking for 5 minutes. It doesn't matter what I do, it's all to no avail. Nowadays it only takes getting burned once and I won't waste my money again trying another scent of the same soap. Now I have a very expensive bar of soap to use in the shower. With all the other available choices out there, I won't send any more money Trumper's way again.
I don't like perfumery scents but this one is mild and 'masculine' enough for me to like. Unfortunately it makes a poor lather that dries far too quickly on your face.
