Bearing a bulb rather than fan-shaped knot, Fendrihan's Classic Silvertip Shaving Brush has been optimized for control without sacrificing its potential for efficient lathering. Bulb-shaped means that the hairs have been shaped for a rounded appearance, resulting in a more precise brush that is perfect for lathering in bowls and mugs. Its soft and luxurious silvertip badger hairs have outstanding water retention, enabling it to lather with minimal effort and optimizing performance.

I've used one for several years now and love it. If you clean it regularly it will last you a long time. Shop around and you will see this is a great buy.
I have been using this brush for a few weeks now and I have to say that I'm not really all that impressed by it. The quality is definitely nice but I find that the hairs absorb water well but they don't absorb the soap very well. I soak my brush in my Fendrihan apothecary mug that also contains the soap I'm using while showering. But I find that the soap just accumulates on the outer edges of the brush. Eventually it spreads the soap but still there is a lot of excess soap on the outer edges. Previously I was using a Fendrihan best badger brush (the one that comes with a stand) and I think that does a much better job of spreading the soap. The overall quality of that one is inferior to this one tho. With the best badger brush I was blown away and loved it immediately, this one however, not so much. I thought it was going to be an upgrade but wasn't. Imo, skip this one and buy two of the Fendrihan best badger brushes instead.
I decided to try this brush for a change. I love it! Perfect firmness, great shape and holds up well.
Easy to lather both soaps and creams. Soft with back ****, nice felling on the face. My only concern is it's lost 26 hairs in 6 shaves. If this continues at this rate the brush will be unusable in less than a year.
