To date this is among the best shaving creams I have ever tried. It may be pricey but a little goes a long way. It provides a very smooth, very close shave without cuts or nicks. This is definitely my "go to" shave cream.
This cream I would only rate as okay. Considering the price, I would not buy this again. I find I get more cushion from a $10 tube of Proraso, and I prefer the scent of pretty much any GFT or Castle Forbes. I have tried it about 8 times or so hoping that I will come around, but honestly I am thinking of throwing it out and cutting my losses. My recommendation would be to get two 30 to 40 dollar shave creams instead, they outperform this product in every way. It does get two stars because I do like the scent, even if it is a little brash. I really wanted the Antica Barbieria Colla Almond Oil Shaving Soap but it was sold out. This product is more expensive but I went for it anyway. I must say the cream is very solid and almost soap like anyway. The problem with creams, for me anyway, is how to get it to the brush. I like to swirl my hot/wetish brush into the cream gathering just enough product then transfer to a hand bowl to produce the proper lather. With some creams the container is too small with product too near the top to do this without product falling over the side and making a mess. Such is the case with Antica Cream. However, I did manage with some practice and this stuff is amazing. The fragrance is unequaled and the razor glides very easily. There are many excellent soaps and creams available from Fendrihan which are nearly as good as this product without the extra expense but I am happy with my purchase and do not regret it. Recommended.
