  • Our ash thermowood hairbrush is darker and lighter than its olivewood cousin, but that does not make it an inferior option. Thermowood, or heat-treated wood, is better protected against invading fungi or insects - so you know your brush will last, even in the damp moisture of your bathroom.

The ergonomic shape and 5 rows of pure wild boar bristles guarantee this brush will fit comfortably in your hand, and wrestle through even the thickest locks in elegant style.

Made in Germany by expert craftsmen using skills honed over 150 years of history, our brushes are the perfect accoutrement for your lifestyle.

A Quality Brush

Wanted the olive wood brush. Sold out. So bought the ash wood. Its a lighter wood. Same quality bristles as the olive wood. Have thick hair. Worn long and short over the years. Brush works well. Start brushing from the bottom of my hair up. Zero tangles. Bristles feel nice on the scalp. Bristles do not fall out. Easy to clean. Last brush lasted over 30 years. A1.

Great brush

The bristles have good spacing and firmness. Works on long, fine hair, though you need to brush in sections. Quality seems very nice, no bristles falling out or anything. Very happy with it.

Not For Me

After using a Kent Woody Hog for a number of years, I decided to try something new. This brush is well-made with firm bristles but it just isn’t for my hair. I would say it’s more suitable for men who have a brushed side part rather than spaced, textured bangs. The bristles on this brush are too close together and too bunched up to give defined height and texture. However, as I said, if you do a hard side part it would probably work great for you. Back to my Woody Hog I go.

Wonderful Brushes

The brushes are lovely. We have recommended them to our family and friends.

Great service!

While I love the Fendrihan boar bristle brushes so much, I now own four of them (I do prefer the olive wood over the thermowood because it looks better and the heavier weight feels better in hand), this review is about great service from Fendrihan. During my first week of using the brush I noticed one or two bristles falling into the sink during each use. Being the first boar bristle brush I had ever owned, I assumed this was normal. But as the brush continued to shed bristles going into the second week, I decided to check with Fendrihan customer service. They wrote back that it was not normal to lose bristles, and that they had already put a replacement brush in the mail. I was impressed by how they dealt with my complaint, and I've been impressed by the level of attention and detail that goes into every shipment I've received from Fendrihan.
