I wet shave once a week. It is a routine I enjoy and this brush was looking to be a great value. The hair was firm and soft and really was a great brush. That is until the handle separated from the brush. It looks like the badger is set in plastic and then it is anchored with some metal screw of sorts and glue. When the brush came off, lots of rusted metal fell into the sink. Seems like the metal support rusted out and the glue was not strong enough to keep it joined to the handle. I still have a 50 year ols Simms brush that was used every day by my dad for 24 years and use it from time to time and the badger is still on tight even after all this time. Don’t tell me our adhesives aren’t better today than they were 50 years ago.
Good Quality brush exactly as advertised. AS usual, service and delivery from Fendrihan was excellent and prompt.
This was the first brush I got when I started wet shaving mainly because of its price. I've been wet shaving for over a year now and I have tried several other brushes but I keep coming back to this one. It makes a great, smooth, rich lather very quickly and with ease. This brush isn't going to last a lifetime but for the price you can't go wrong. It is very reliable and durable.
Extremely pungent badger smell that went away after soaking in hot water/Borax/soap. Lost quite a few hairs initially, but after a few shaves, hair loss is now minimal. Soft hairs, decent loft, lathers nicely. My first badger brush, but I think I prefer a stiffer and coarser boar brush. Decent weight to the brush and the handle looks OK - colour in the photo is accurate.
I'm no expert. It's my first brush and it's working great. Smell is not as bad as I thought after reading other reviews.
