Like the other reviewer, I tried Fort Greene because of good experience with Commando and the experience was identical. What a waste of money. Gritty texture that doesn't break down. Also posted on Brooklyn Web site.
So I purchased the Brooklyn Grooming Commando pomade and love it. I only purchased it because the Fort Greene was out of stock at the time and that had been what I was looking for. Anyways, the Commando was so good that as soon as the Fort Greene became available I purchased it too. What a mistake. The Commando is smooth as silk once you work it, goes on well and lasts all day. The Fort Greene NEVER completely dissolves. What do I mean? I mean, when you take your thumb nail sized amount (the suggestion on the tin) and then start rubbing it between your finger tips (again, as suggested on tin) it doesn't completely dissolve and instead you're left with these little chunks that are now stuck to your pomade'd hands. Still, like a fool, I used it. Mistake. All day I had these little nuggets of pomade stuck in my hair. I looked dirty. Not sure how these two products differ so wildly since the only difference is supposed to be scent. Speaking of scent on the Fort Greene. It's not pleasant. All of this leads me to believe I may have a bad batch? I personally wouldn't recommend this product but highly recommend the Commando pomade. That stuff is the bomb.
